Plant 25: Helsinki, Finland
The nation’s capital city is located at the southern tip of the country on the Baltic Sea. Because the rest of the country is so cold year round, the vast majority of the several million Fins live within the metropolitan area of Helsinki. Less than 10% of all Fins are churched in any denomination. A strategic church plant in the greater Helsinki area could literally reach thousands of people. Marti Laitenin is a Finish business man who makes regular trips between Florida and Helsinki. He is a dynamic Christian who feels called to the ministry.
